Bulk Waste Collections 

Please note that the Bulk Waste collection dates for the 24/25 financial year are yet to be confirmed. Once finalised, the dates will be circulated through the Town's communications channels. Thank you for your patience.

For information relating to your waste collection refer to your 2024-2025 Waste Guide 

Please place your waste on the verge by 6am Monday of the scheduled start dates as the contractor will only service your verge once. Please ensure waste is not placed any earlier than one week prior to collection (for residential properties only).

Green Waste Collection 

Residents are encouraged to deliver it to the City of Fremantle's Recycling Centre on Fridays (12-4 pm) and Saturdays/Sundays (8-4 pm). Please be aware that only one trailer load of green waste per day is permitted. Please remember your photo ID showing your residential address (e.g. driver’s license). If your photo ID does not contain your current residential address, please also bring a rates notice or a bill to verify residency. 

Please note that Verge Collections in the Town are for residential properties only. Commercial properties and Clubs are required to arrange their own green waste disposal as needed.

Green waste can be placed on the verge up to seven (7) days prior to the new collection date (from the 29^th April 2024). Green waste placed on the verge earlier than this date may attract a notice from our Rangers requesting removal.

Before disposal, please remember to inspect all green waste for potential signs of borer. If you notice signs of borer, kindly retain the green waste at your property and promptly contact DPIRD on 08 9368 3080. 

White/Metal Goods Collection 

✅ Accepted Materials:

• Barbecues (not gas bottles)
• Bicycles
• Bulky toys
• E-waste (TVs, computers, accessories)
• Fencing (timber and steel only)
• Floor coverings (linoleum, carpet)
• Fridges/freezers (doors removed)
• Garden hoses
• Household furniture (no glass)
• Mattress/es and Mattress bases
• Scrap metal
• Plant pots
• Small electrical goods
• Timber (not garden waste; max. 1.5m length)
• White goods (doors removed)
• Wire/strapping

❌ Materials Not Accepted:

• No asbestos products
• No batteries
• No building materials (brick, rubble, concrete, tiles, pavers, sand etc.)
• No car oil or fuel
• No food
• No gas cylinders, aerosols or fire extinguishers
• No glass panels (tabletops, mirrors or windowpanes)
• No hazardous materials (flammable, toxic or corrosive liquids)
• No paint
• No dirt, soil, sand, mulch or garden organics
• No tyres
• No vehicles, car bodies, or car part
