The Town of East Fremantle congratulates Andrew Malone on his appointment as the new Chief Executive Officer at the Shire of Tammin.
Andrew joined the Town in 2012 as a Senior Planner and has been our Executive Manager Regulatory Services since 2016.
Mayor Jim O’Neill and Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Throssell this week thanked Andrew for his passion and service to the East Fremantle community.
The Town’s planning, building, health services and award-winning sustainability and waste education services have flourished under Andrew’s guidance, and his community-focussed approach has been exemplary.
In recent years, Andrew also played a key role in delivering the East Fremantle Community Park – including while Acting CEO in 2023 – taking great pride in watching the project progress from planning and design to completion.
Andrew has been a great asset to our Town with his excellent communication skills and focus on teamwork in leading a well-respected planning department which has a great reputation in local government and the community. His understanding of town planning and the uniqueness of East Fremantle has left a positive legacy. His wit and sense of humour made working him an absolute pleasure and we are a better community for having Andrew at the Town for over a decade.
Please join us in thanking Andrew for his contribution to the East Fremantle community over the past 12 years.
Andrew will remain at the Town until early November. We wish him all the best with the move to the Wheatbelt.
