Single use plastic lined beverage cups are now banned in WA. However, compostable ones still go into landfill as our industrial composting systems cannot accept them at this time. Reusables are still your best choice so take the time to sit and enjoy your cuppa at the café or remember to take your Keep Cup. If you can’t avoid a disposable cup, make sure you dispose of it in a red bin so that our FOGO and Recycling bins aren’t contaminated.
