Town of East Fremantle welcomes the first home games for season 2025 at the East Fremantle Community Park this weekend.
Following a multi-year absence for the East Fremantle Football Club while the oval was redeveloped and multi-use facility completed, three games will be played on Saturday 5 April:
- Rogers Cup: Playing Peel Thunder at 10.05am
- WAFLW: Playing Peel Thunder at 12.00pm
- WAFL: Playing West Coast Eagles at 2.30pm
Entry is free, with a full day of family-friendly activations planned, including a flag unveiling ceremony, food trucks, bouncy castles, Rick the Rock, handball activities and more.
Patrons are asked to be aware that:
- Parking around the East Fremantle Community Park will be limited. Where possible, local residents are encouraged to walk or cycle to the grounds. Other patrons should consider getting dropped off or using public transport.
If public transport or getting dropped off is not available for you, football fans can drive and find parking in local streets. Please be mindful of the parking regulations in residential areas and observe any street parking restrictions that are in place. This includes ensuring residents have reasonable access to and from their properties and that driveways are not blocked. Rangers will be patrolling the area.
There will also be a drop-off section at 1 Carnaby Close at the ground. In addition, a limited number of car parking bays are available at the Town of East Fremantle Town Hall car park (off Council Place in East Fremantle) which is an easy, 10-minute stroll to the ground.
- Temporary infrastructure: In addition to the existing infrastructure at the park, a temporary grandstand has been erected along Moss Street and will be in place for the duration of the WAFL season. Portable toilets have also been added to the ground for match day.
The Town wishes the Sharks’ teams all the best for their home ground return.
