A friendly reminder that bulk and white/metal goods waste collection will begin from Monday 9 December.
Please ensure waste is placed on your verge no earlier than one week prior to collection, and by 6am on the scheduled start date.
Below is a list of what will and won't be accepted.
Accepted materials
- Barbecues (not gas bottles)
- Bicycles
- Bulky toys
- E-waste (TVs, computers, accessories)
- Fencing (timber and steel only)
- Floor coverings (linoleum, carpet)
- Fridges/freezers (doors removed)
- Garden hoses
- Household furniture (no glass)
- Mattress/es and Mattress bases
- Scrap metal
- Plant pots
- Small electrical goods
- Timber (not garden waste; max. 1.5m length)
- White goods (doors removed)
- Wire/strapping
Materials not accepted
- Asbestos products
- Batteries
- Building materials (brick, rubble, concrete, tiles, pavers, sand etc.)
- Car oil or fuel
- Food
- Gas cylinders, aerosols or fire extinguishers
- Glass panels (tabletops, mirrors or windowpanes)
- Hazardous materials (flammable, toxic or corrosive liquids)
- Paint
- Dirt, soil, sand, mulch or garden organics
- Tyres
- Vehicles, car bodies, or car parts
