Our much-celebrated community event that has run for over three decades along the historic George Street heritage precinct is set to return from 11am to 6pm on Sunday 1 December.
East Fremantle’s George Street Festival offers something for the whole family, including live music stages, free family-friendly activities, plus food, beverage and over 100 artisan stalls.
Mayor Jim O’Neill invited residents to mark the date in their diaries to enjoy the sustainable street party.
“East Fremantle’s George Street Festival is more than just a vibrant annual event,” he said.
“It’s a collaboration between the Town, businesses, traders, community groups and residents to showcase the uniqueness of East Fremantle.”
The award-winning festival, which has a strong sustainability focus, is a popular event on the Town’s calendar and has been delighting residents and visitors for 35 years.
“This year’s festival promises to deliver an unforgettable experience filled with community spirit and summer vibes,” Mayor O’Neill added.
“From music to art, food from different cultures, tips on how to live more sustainably, I love seeing the whole community come together to celebrate all of the wonderful people, organisations and passions that make East Freo so special.”
Highlights of this year’s festival include:
Live performances: Enjoy live music from a variety of artists across three music stages down George Street, including a Youth Stage, plus some live music at the Duke of George
Artisan markets: Browse unique handmade arts and crafts and quality products from over 100 stallholders.
