Thirteen local groups have been awarded a combined $15,816 in grant funding as part of the Town of East Fremantle’s Community Assistance Grants program, which supports sporting clubs and community groups to build capacity.
A diverse range of groups were successful in the 2024/2025 grant round, with funding supporting new equipment for several East Fremantle sporting clubs, polo shirts for volunteers and funding to assist with library upgrades at a local school.
Mayor Jim O’Neill congratulated the successful groups and thanked everyone who submitted an application.
“Our Community Assistance Grants program plays a vital role in making a tangible difference to people’s everyday lives while helping community groups to succeed,” he said.
“Since 2016, we have invested over $95,000 into this program, assisting many community groups and clubs. I look forward to seeing how the funds will support our groups this financial year.”
