Shared path on Fremantle Traffic Bridge to close

Published on Friday, 20 December 2024 at 10:55:02 AM

Main Roads Western Australia has advised that to provide a safe environment for workers and the wider community, the shared path on the Fremantle Traffic Bridge will permanently close to pedestrians and cyclists from January 2025 until project completion (end of 2026). This allows construction of abutment foundations and retaining walls to support the deck of the new bridge.

Pedestrians and cyclists will be detoured via Stirling Highway. Signs will be placed at either end of the bridge (both sides) showing the detour route and bus movements.

More information will be provided prior to implementation. To read more about traffic changes and works on the bridge, please visit the Main Roads website
