MODIFICATIONS TO LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME NO. 3 - COMPLEX AMENDMENT NO. 15 - ROYAL GEORGE HOTEL (Closed)
Posted: 25/01/2019 Closing Date: 25/02/2019 11:50 PM
Late last year the WA Planning Commission (WAPC) determined to forward Amendment No. 15 to the Hon. Minister for Planning for her consideration. In December the Minister directed that the Amendment be modified. The schedule of modifications is required to be advertised for 28 days. Advertising will commence on Tuesday, 29 January and conclude on Monday, 25 February 2019.
The full Schedule of Modifications to Amendment No. 15 (advertised for public comment) and the specific details of Amendment No. 15 as endorsed by Council is available here.
In accordance with State planning legislation, at the conclusion of the advertising period the Council is required to consider the submissions received and make a recommendation in respect to each submission and the schedule of modifications. The Council is then required to forward the advertised Amendment (including all submissions) to the Minister who will then decide whether to support, modify or refuse the Amendment.
If you have any queries or require further explanation in respect to either the Council endorsed Amendment, the Schedule of Modifications or the Amendment process please contact the Town’s Planning Officers on 9339 9339 or email admin@eastfremantle.wa.gov.au.
Note: The term ‘decision maker’ is used in the Scheme Amendment documentation as a Development Assessment Panel (DAP), not the Council, will be the determining authority for a development approval application on the site. A mandatory DAP application is required under State planning legislation where a development has an estimated cost of $10M or more.
